 Rubi Rose Benton was born on the 2nd of October, 1997 in Lexington, Kentucky, where she was also raised by Nardos Ghebrelul her mother who was who is an Eritrean dentist immigrant from Ethiopia, and John Benton, her father who is a lawyer of Japanese, African American and European descent. The father of her mother was adopted. She has an older sister who is named Scarlette and an older sister named Coral. 2. She was baptized in Orthodox Christianity in the age of a child. Brookwood High School, Snellville, Georgia was where she ran track. She was a student of politics at Georgia State University. She fell in love with Marvin Gaye's music and the music of Biggie, Prince, Michael Jackson and Chaka Khan. Megan Thee Stallion's Nicki Minaj, and Nicki Cardi B are some of her influences. Rose first gained fame as the primary model in hip-hop group Migos their music video for their hit single "Bad and Boujee". Rose began to appear on Twitch streams with DJ Akademiks who is a Jamaican-born East Coast Hip Hop commentator. Rose started her career in music in September of 2018, when she remixed "On Top" the hit song by Playboi Cari. Her hit single "Big Mouth" has gained her attention in the beginning of 2019, and she continued to perform well in the year ahead. Rose was featured in Cardi's music video for her track "WAP" on the 7th of August, 2020. A&R Chris Turner signed Rose to the record label of LA Reid Hitco Entertainment in 2019. Rubi is also famous for her high-profile romances. She has been with Travis Scott and Playboi Cari and also Ian Connor, 21 Savage and Soulja Boy. She is currently single.
