Paula Patton is an actress and producer well-known for her leading roles in the action-spy movie Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol as well as the dramatic film Precious. Her early years were spent at Los Angeles where she came from a middle-class family. She was raised by a mother, who was a fan of films. Paula enjoyed participating in school co-curricular activities and she was a huge fan of drama. She was a member of her class and took part in the school productions. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School gave her many opportunities to act during her high school years and she picked acting as a career. The summer was a blast at the University of Southern California. She was awarded an assignment by PBS to create documentaries over the course of three months. When she was successful in completing the task, she began working as an assistant to the production team for television documentaries. Her next step was to produce documentaries. She still had a dream to work as an actress even though she was satisfied in her present position. The path to acting began when she had an unimportant role with Will Smith in the romantic comedy Hitch. Since then, she's appeared in a variety of film and TV programs.
