She competed in Miss Columbus Miss Columbus pageant in 1985. After winning the title and kissing the crowned and crowned, she beat all the contestants. The month of June, 1985 saw Miss Georgia was to be named in her honour. She won the tournament as well on June 22 the 22nd of June, 1985. In September of 1985 Mohr represented Georgia in her participation at Miss America 1986 Pageant held in Atlantic City (New Jersey) following her win. Mohr was, however the top 10 finalist for the national title.
