Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin (born Winnipeg, raised in Wellington) is the name of a Canadian actor from Canada. Born in Winnipeg and was raised in Wellington Paquin was able to make her acting debut as Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she was awarded an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at age 11 and was the 2nd youngest recipient of the award in Oscar history. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin was born on July 24 the 24th of July, 1982 Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster as Best Supporting Actress playing the enthusiastic and curious child of Holly Hunter's main part on the film The Piano. After responding to a call for open auditions at age nine, and with little prior experience acting, she won Flora McGrath's role. Flora is the child of the Scottish pianist who was mute. The couple were relocated from Scotland to New Zealand during the middle of the nineteenth century in an effort to get married. Her move into the United States as a teen. Paquin was in a brief role in the role of Jane Eyre's title character while she was just a young girl on Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (1996) and an important role in the film Fly Away Home (1996). Paquin was in the role of Frankie Addams, a character in Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding in 1997. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad in 1997 her character was the queen of Spain in a smaller part. The role she played was for teenagers in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000). Also, she was the character of the teenage groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
