April Ross
April Ross has won more than one Olympic medal. She is among a few female players of beach volleyball to have achieved this feat. Alix klineman, who is playing for the first time at the Tokyo Olympics, will try to earn her third medal. Ross wants to achieve more than her initial Olympic medal. It may well be that it is her last chance at winning, as she's 39 old. Her optimism is that she will be able to win top awards. Ross stated to NBC Boston that if they play their best, or even a good game, she believes the team could win a gold medal. Therefore, I'm hoping to have some luck as well. Ross was born on the 22nd, 1982 in Costa Mesa California. She resided there along with her entire family. Ross played in numerous sports during her time at Newport Harbor High School. While a prep student she was a participant in the indoor game of volleyball, as well as basketball and running track. Although she was a pro at indoor volleyball however, it was evident that her skills were above normal. Her college biography states that she was an outside-hitting hitter, middle blocker, as well as a setter throughout her volleyball time in high school. Her achievements were rewarded when she was named 1999 Gatorade's National Circle of Champions Player of the Year. The year 2000 was the time she received the Orange County Athlete of the year award for volleyball. Ross and Klineman have been doing what they do from 2017. But, Ross played a significant role in the world of beach volleyball before joining the duo. As a matter of fact, Ross has won several major tournaments in her career along with her two teammates. One of them is a volleyball legend. Ross teamed up with Jennifer Kessy from 2007-2013, and also was Klineman's coach. Along together with Kessy Ross was awarded the World Championship in 2009, while racing internationally. They won a Silver Medal during the 2012 Olympic Games held in London. Misty May Treanor and Kerri Jennings the legendary team which was the winners of the 2012 Olympics in London, edged them out to win the gold. Ross Jennings was Walsh Jennings partner in fate as Maytreanor resigned. They won the bronze medal in beach volleyball during the Rio Olympics 2016. Ross competed for USC Trojans in her college prior to becoming a professional. Ross's Trojans experience was amazing. In 2000, she was voted Pac-10 Freshman as well as NCAA Freshman Of The Year and an All-American. Her Trojans also reached the Final Four. During her sophomore year she suffered a tremendous personal setback but managed to repeat as an All-American. Over the course of her final two seasons, she took the Trojans up the mountain and clinched consecutive national championships. For her part she established herself as a legend when she won the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. The award is given to the best female volleyball players at colleges across the United States. Ross studied international relations at USC. Margie Ross did not get to witness her daughter's climb to beach volleyball fame. Ross suffered the loss of her mother to breast cancer in 2001. Ross was then a sophomore. She still holds her mother very dearly. Margie, on the beach and in daily life, inspires her.
